Mission's Trip to Thailand 10-21st Nov '05

Well we travelled out to Thailand from the 10th~21st Nov. We have 9 college students with us and headed out to join other teams for Pattaya Praise Week in Pattaya. God moved in amazing ways and it was so cool to see it all together. Every prayer request we had was answered and God went above and beyond what we could have imagined. We had many opportunites to be involved in various ministries. For the first few days we had orientation in Bangkok along with a bit of sightseeing. On the Sunday evening we headed down in our mini buses to Pattaya and we began work straight away on Monday, with a prayer walk and a trip to an orphanage, where there was plenty of face painting, balloon making & even some garden work. On Tue we had the privilege of going to 3 different slums where we brought food and had an outreach program. On Wed we had a meeting with all the teams who had travelled to Pattaya and on Thurs we had some time off followed by the opening cermony with the mayor of the city etc. Fri was full with activities which included an outreach on one of the main bar streets!! This was truly a miraculous night as we had the blessing of seeing someone come to know God and truly find the light in a very dark place. His name is Ron and what an amazing person he was, we truly experienced an amazing time with him. Thank God for this opportunity as we saw one of his sons return to him. On Sat we had our 12hr prayer and praise session (and Ron came along to this as well). Sunday which was our last day we went to various churches and everyone was encouraged. This doesn't do any justice to any of the trip as it's really hard to capture it in such a short space. But all I can say is what an amazing God we have. It was so obvious to see his hand at work in a very dark place. We all feel so privileged to have been able to partake in such an experience. I can't wait for the next trip we take. What a faithful God we serve.
