Hey what can we say.... we made it, thank goodness for the sleeping tablets and we are definatly in a tropical paradise. We know you must be getting sick of hearing all of this from us for the last couple of months but what a place. It's really hard to believe we're standing on Waikiki beach watching a sunset. Really been blessed with this AMAZING journey, and what a journey it's been. God has shown us so much about the world around us and the people everywhere. Myself and Alex were only talking the other day (yes we're still talking hehe) and I was saying how I had been so excited just to travel to all these places and had no idea of what would be in store. Seeing so much brokeness and emptiness everywhere. Seeing that people were searching for something meaningful all over the world. It has been such a different experience, one for which I am truly grateful for. To see how big and yet small the world is. How God's heart breaks for so many of us. How easily I can lose my focus and how lost the world is. Everyone wants the same thing, to be loved, accepted and make a difference. It has been such an eye opening trip. He has spoken to us so much on who he is, what people look like and what we can look like ourselves. The book by Frost and Hirsch "Shaping of things to come" is ideal for this trip and what we're seeing. Other books we're reading is "Girl soldier" , a story on the life of a girl from Uganda who was kidnapped and made into a child soldier. It's a hard book but amazing of God's hand over her life and how she was rescued from all that. Also Alex is reading a book called "Dead Lucky" kinda apropiate considering. about a guy who climbed Mount Everest and died only to come down the next day.He is captured by it. Why am I telling you this??? No idea just thought I'd share our thoughts with you on the blog. Hehe well hope this finds you all well. Can't wait to see everyone again. 3wks to go. Xo
Ps Please excuse waffling and spelling mistakes it's been over 24hrs traveling. We don't know what time or day it is despite our sleep on the plane.

Heya, great to hear you made it to fabulous Hawai safe and sound. We've got Duck weather over here. It's warm but still wet. That was actually the theme for the week at Teenstreet: How God's heart breaks for what's going on in the world, especially HIV/AIDS. George Verver (founder of OM) gave a powerful speach about missions. I learnt more about my role for next yr and how incredibly well timed it is. How great is our God! We're hoping to have Teenstreet Sunday on August 26th. Looking forward so much to catching up.
Love you guys,
Lynda
